DROUGHT CONDITIONS / WATER RESTRICTIONS

During drought conditions rainwater catchment can
mean the difference between being able to water your
landscape or wash your car at home and not.

The key is to store as much as possible during the
cooler months when you usually do not need to water.

Even during dry months there will normally be showers
that can quickly fill your tanks. You also can collect a fair
amount of water during a heavy dew and by routing your
air conditioner condensate line to the storage container.

If you have a well for your main water supply, rainwater
can greatly reduce the demand on your limited water
table.

Gray Water Systems
A family of four will produce approximately 100 to 200
gallons of gray water per day from showers and baths
alone. If you reuse that water for sub-surface irrigation
you return it to the ground water table or save the
municipal government the cost of treatment. This
practice will also help reduce the burden on overloaded
municipal infrastructures or septic systems.
Gray water systems can be beneficial to developers of
commercial or residential properties, especially in
areas where soil has poor absorbing qualities.

Conservation and Stewardship

should be a goal for everyone

Let RAIN PRO, Inc. help you achieve that goal

Water...We seem to have an ample supply always at hand with no end in sight,
but how long will that last?  As you worry about the rising fuel prices and what
chemicals and additives are in the foods you eat, do you ever worry about our
water supply? When water becomes scarce the least of your worries will be fuel
for your car.
Are you aware that only about 30 percent of the water treated for residential use
is used for drinking, cooking, and bathing? The other 60 plus percent is used for
irrigation, flushing toilets, washing cars, etc. If  you live in a rural development
you should understand that if many homes are drawing from the same water
table, that a time may come when that water will be depleted (especially if you
and your neighbors are irrigating your lawns and keeping swimming pools full).
Rainwater harvesting has been practiced for hundreds of years and is common
practice in Europe, Australia, most island countries, and the southwest and west
coast states of USA. It is a simple process of capturing the water from your roof
and then storing it in a cistern for future use. You may wish to only use the water
for your gardens, lawn, washing cars, etc., but why not to flush your toilets also?
Rainwater can be filtered to suit your needs including potable (drinking water).
Rainwater is one of nature’s purest forms of water and is always soft. A 2000 sq.
ft. roof will produce about 52,000 gallons of water per year in the triad area. A
100,000 sq. ft. building can produce 2.6 million gallons per year. These systems
are very affordable and allow you complete control of your water supply. For
those that have contaminated, low producing or poor quality wells, rainwater
collection can be the solution for less than the cost of a new well and/or
purification or softener system.  There is also much discussion about what
chlorine is doing to our bodies.
Another important aspect of harvesting rainwater is the reduction of storm water
run off, which causes pollution and erosion in our streams. In the last several
years this has been an especially challenging issue for architects, engineers and
developers. RAIN PRO, Inc. offers many solutions that can make the difference
in a development being turned down or passed. As an example: why expend
three acres of property for retention ponds that could give you six more homes.
All of the homes could have rainwater systems.
A great way to educate our children would be to install a small system at each
school (instead of a large system at only one school in the county).
There is a growing demand for healthy built, green built  and LEED certified
homes and businesses and rainwater management can be an important
component of these structures.
Most important is that RAIN PRO, Inc. is dedicated to seeking new technology
and more efficient ways to improve our water quality and environment for
future
generations
.

Your System
We will design and/or build a rainwater collection
system that will best suit your needs. Aesthetics
and maximum use are important, as well as cost
effectiveness.
Residential
Whether you only wish to conserve small
amounts of water for your garden, or would like to
capture as much water as possible to irrigate
your lawn, wash your cars, run your washing
machine, flush your toilets or have this as your
primary water source including potable water, we
can provide a system that will take you to the
level you want to achieve.
Commercial
The potential for large buildings is unlimited. Not
only can you irrigate the landscape, but you can
use the water for industrial purposes, for the
chillers, vehicle washes, fire suppression and
much more.
Why pay for treated water that does not need to
be taken to that level? Why design a building
around how to get rid of the water, pay fees for
storm water and then pay for the water you are
using? Why not contain and reuse what nature
gives you?
We offer rainwater management solutions for
most all situations.
